The 1980s two-storey brick homes on the rise have concrete-tiled hip roofs with enough cavity above the upper floor for a full-size fan coil and rigid ducting, and the bedrooms are usually all upstairs with the living areas below, which is the ideal layout for a two-zone system with the west-facing bedrooms on their own third zone.
