What moves the number up or down

  • The kilowatt capacity your floor area, insulation and sun exposure demand
  • How many zones you want, since each adds dampers and controller channels
  • Vent count and style, with linear-bar costing more than square outlets
  • One storey or two, which changes duct lengths and install time
  • Whether the ceiling space takes a standard chassis or needs slim-line gear
  • Where the outdoor unit lives: slab, wall bracket or roof
  • Whether your switchboard needs an upgrade to carry the load
  • Taking out and disposing of an old system
  • Installing outside business hours or on weekends

How it works

From first call to handover

  1. 01

    Measure & quote

A visit to walk the home, check the ceiling space and map a zoned layout that suits how the place is built and used.

  2. 02

    System selection

We match a Daikin or Mitsubishi Electric unit to the load, with headroom so it cruises rather than working flat-out.

  3. 03

    Installation

One to three days on site: fan coil up in the ceiling, condenser outside, duct runs and outlets fitted, and the site kept clean as we go.

  4. 04

    Commissioning & handover

The system is tested, charged and checked zone by zone, you get a controls walkthrough, and we lodge the warranty.

Frequently asked

Common questions about ducted air conditioning

How much does ducted air conditioning cost?

Most 4-bedroom homes land between $13,000 and $16,000 installed. Compact single-storey homes start around $11,000 and large double-storey jobs run $16,000 and up. Every job is a fixed price after an on-site measure.

Which ducted brands do you install?

Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric inverter systems are our mainstays. Both are quiet, efficient and well supported with parts in Australia, and both carry 5-year parts and labour warranties.

How is a ducted system sized?

We size to room area, insulation, glazing and sun exposure rather than bedroom count alone. Coastal and ridge-top homes often carry higher heat loads than the same floor plan elsewhere, so we measure on site before locking in capacity.

Can ducted air conditioning be retrofitted into an existing home?

In most cases yes. Single and double-storey homes with a standard ceiling cavity take a conventional system, and where space is tight a slim-line unit or bulkhead install usually solves it.

How long does a ducted install take?

One to three working days for most homes. Ducting and vents go in first, then the indoor and outdoor units, then electrical, commissioning and clean-up.

Do you handle the electrical work?

Yes. Our licensed electrician runs the dedicated circuit, isolator and controller wiring as part of the job. One contractor, one invoice, one warranty.
