- A mounting review covering the wall, the outdoor spot and the refrigerant line path
- Inverter indoor head and outdoor unit from Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric or Fujitsu
- Refrigerant lines concealed in the wall cavity wherever the structure allows
- Condensate drained properly to an eave or stormwater point
- Slab or wall bracket for the outdoor unit where the site needs one
- Power connected to an existing outlet or a new dedicated circuit
- Vacuumed and charged to the manufacturer specification
- Remote handover, a run-through of the controls and warranty registration

A single head is typically in by the end of the day. Three or four heads usually take a day and a half to two.

Head on the wall, outdoor unit on its bracket or slab, lines hidden through the cavity and the drain run to the eave.

How much does a split system cost installed?
A single-head split typically runs $1,800 to $3,200 installed depending on capacity and the pipe run. A three-head multi-head system usually lands between $5,500 and $8,500. The price is fixed before work starts.
What size split system do I need?
As a rough guide, 2.5kW suits a bedroom, 3.5kW a study or small living area, and 5kW to 7.1kW a main living space. We confirm sizing against the room, insulation and sun exposure before we quote.
Should I get single splits or a multi-head system?
If you want two to four rooms conditioned and outdoor space is limited, one multi-head outdoor unit is tidier and often cheaper to run than several singles. For one or two rooms, individual splits stay the simple answer.
How quiet are modern split systems?
Premium inverter heads run at 19 to 24 decibels on low fan, quieter than a whispered conversation. We size systems so they spend most of their time on low, where they are quietest and most efficient.
Can you install where there is no ceiling cavity?
Yes. Splits need no ducting, which is why they suit older homes, apartments and extensions where ducted is not practical.
