How often should a unit on the Cronulla peninsula be serviced?

As well as the standard indoor and outdoor service, we pull leaves, bark and twigs out of the coil and base, wash the coil, and check the fan and electrical contacts. If the unit has an ember guard, we make sure it is clear. A pre-summer visit is the most useful time, because a clogged unit works hardest and fails most often on the first hot still day.

We use our heating all winter in Kirrawee. When should we book?

If the system works hard in both seasons, a visit before summer and another before winter is worth considering. Kirrawee gets cold, clear nights, and a reverse-cycle system used for heating every morning collects as much dust in its filters as it does in summer. We recommend the interval in your service report based on the hours the system actually runs.

Can you service the outdoor unit on the jetty side of a Sylvania Waters home?

Yes. Many canal homes have the condenser on the wall facing the water, reached along a narrow side path. Tell us about gates, pets and the route when you book. The estuary air is humid with some salt on the water side, so the coil gets a rinse and we check the fins and fasteners. Traffic dust from the Princes Highway side is cleaned off at the same time.

I rent out a home near Engadine station. Do you provide service records?

Yes. Every visit ends with a written report with before and after photos, covering what was cleaned, the readings we took and anything that needs attention. Landlords around Engadine, Sutherland and Menai Marketplace use it for their records and for tenant enquiries. We can also send a reminder when the next service is due, so it stays on the calendar.
